UmmatOne is designed with a privacy-first philosophy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the application handles, how it is used, and how it is protected.
UmmatOne does not operate a central server, does not sell data, and does not include advertising or behavioural tracking systems.
1. Information Handled by the Application
UmmatOne may process the following information on your device in order to provide its features.
Location Information
The app may access your device’s approximate location in order to:
• calculate accurate prayer times
• determine the direction of the Qibla
Location information is used only within the app and is stored locally on your device. It is not transmitted to any external server.
Google Account Email (Optional Backup)
If you choose to enable the optional backup feature, the app will allow you to select your Google account in order to store backups in your personal Google Drive.
The email address associated with the selected account may be stored locally on your device so the app can:
• identify which account is used for backup
• restore data from your personal Google Drive
This email address is never transmitted to the developer or any third party.
Local Ibadah and App Data
UmmatOne allows users to record personal spiritual activities such as:
• prayer tracking
• dhikr counters
• fasting records
• Qur’an reading progress
• charity records (only numbers no transactions)
• zakat and savings goals
• personal reminders and settings
All of this information is stored locally on your device.
The app does not collect, transmit, or store this information on external servers.
2. Data Storage
Local Storage
Most information handled by UmmatOne is stored locally on your device using the Android system storage and database.
Sensitive settings are protected using Android’s secure storage mechanisms.
Optional Google Drive Backup
UmmatOne provides an optional backup feature that allows users to store encrypted backups in their own Google Drive account.
Important details:
• backup data is encrypted before leaving your device
• backups are stored only in your personal Google Drive
• the developer cannot access your backup data
This feature is optional and can be disabled at any time.
3. Data Sharing
UmmatOne does not share personal data with third parties.
Specifically, the application does not:
• sell user data
• share data with advertisers
• use analytics or behavioural tracking platforms
• transmit personal worship data to external servers
All personal ibadah data remains under the control of the user.
4. Advertising and Tracking
UmmatOne does not contain advertisements.
The app also does not include:
• advertising SDKs
• marketing analytics
• behavioural tracking systems
• user profiling technologies
Your activity in the app is not tracked for advertising or marketing purposes.
5. Data Security
UmmatOne uses modern Android security practices to protect user information.
These include:
• encrypted storage for sensitive settings
• encrypted backup files
• secure communication (HTTPS) when accessing external resources
• no central data collection
Because most information is stored locally on your device, you maintain control over your own data.
6. Data Deletion
Users can delete all app data at any time.
This can be done by:
• using the Fresh Start feature within the app, which clears all stored records and settings
• uninstalling the application from the device
If backup files exist in your Google Drive, they can also be removed directly from your Drive account.
7. Children’s Privacy
UmmatOne does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because the application stores most information locally on the user’s device and does not operate a central data collection service, it does not gather identifiable personal data from users.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect improvements to the application or changes in applicable policies.
Updated versions will be published on the UmmatOne website.
